113th Infantry Division
The 113th Infantry Division (113. Infanterie-Division) was formed in December 1940. Was in the Balkans on occupational duties during November and December 1941. Later transferred to the southern sector of the Russian front, where it was finally virtually destroyed at Stalingrad.

Generalleutnant Friedrich Zickwolff commanded the 113th Infantry Division from 4th June 1941 to 10th May 1942 during World War II. Under his leadership, the division participated in key operations on the Eastern Front. Zickwolff’s strategic decisions earned him recognition, including the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross for his military achievements.
Generalleutnant Hans-Heinrich Sixt von Arnim, from 10th May 1942 to 20th January 1943

Generalleutnant Hans-Heinrich Sixt von Arnim commanded the 113th Infantry Division from 10th May 1942 to 20th January 1943. He led the division during critical operations on the Eastern Front, including the Battle of Stalingrad. Captured by Soviet forces, he remained a prisoner until his death in captivity in 1952.
