18th March 2016, Glory Hallelujah, There’s not long to wait now, and those immortal words from Pickett ring around the Warlord offices as the staff are divided in their allegiances, and we prepare to wage war – with the much-anticipating coming of ‘Glory Hallelujah!’ – the American Civil War 1861 – 1865 supplement for Black Powder.

16th December 2016, I also started work on some UCM reinforcements.





8th December 2016, I have ordered two Deep Cut Studio mats, Wargames terrain mat – Cityscape #1 and Wargames terrain mat – Cityscape #2 one is for the club (Grimsby Wargames Society) and the other for home.

7th October 2016, I bought a bargain from eBay a second hand Monorail Scenery Pack from Hawk Wargames, Link no longer working.


30th September 2016, My second Dropzone Commander 2 player starter set has arrived today. Which i’m going to use for my Tabletop Commanders, Winter Warmer Challenge!.
27th September 2016, Ok don’t tell anyone but I have succumbed and bought a second two player starter set which will get a lot of the units on my want list.

26th September 2016, I finished both my starter, UCM army, Scourge army.


24th September 2016, I started doing some scenery only a small amount to start with if this game takes off at the club then I will certainly expand the amount of scenery I do.
I basically used some N Gauge buses and N Gauge cars you can buy these from anywhere. At some point I will do the tutorial of how I did them.







18th September 2016, I had just about finished my UCM army just needed finishing touches.





13th September 2016, I started assembling my Scourge army, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it’s all went together.


12th September 2016, I managed to pick up both of my command decks from eBay for a reasonable price. UCM Command Cards – Dropzone Commander DzC.




7th to 9th September 2016, After discussing how I should expand my two player starter on Hawk Wargames Forums Link no longer working A couple of people came to my assistance with very good suggestions.
6th September 2016, I started work on my Dropzone Commander Buildings.

2nd September 2016, My Dropzone Commander journey starts today as I received my parcel from eBay.

28th April 2016, Air support for the Nova Federation coming along nicely (Tutorial for stripping miniatures). The wife made the bases for the aircraft to stand on. And that completes the Nova Federation Army for now.







15th April 2016, Here is my guide for painting Nova Federation using Vallejo acrylic colours.

April 2016, Ok I think the Russian vehicles have been identified by a forum member over at MilitaryHistoryOnline.com, Link no longer working.


April 2016, Search continues to find the 10mm equivalent. A 10mm chieftain tank has been found by a forum member over at leagueofaugsburg.com.





13th April 2016, After doing some research I have found that there were three different types of laser tank in the series space 1999 all three versions who built on a chieftain tank chassis so I’m going to have a go a building a couple.



8th April 2016, After asking for help on the Pendraken forum, Grumpy came up with a brilliant suggestion of using the Avatar Scorpion RDA Gunship as transport for my armoured Marines or as an objective. So I bought 3 from eBay.

8th April 2016, Reinforcements arrived from Pendraken Miniatures.
22nd March 2016, I painted up a few of Pendrakens old Sci-Fi Marines and I’m certainly impressed with how easy they were to do.

Grimsby Wargames Society
The Grimsby Wargames Society, based on Six Hills Street, provides diverse gaming opportunities, including historical, sci-fi, and fantasy wargames, as well as board and card games. We meet every Monday and Thursday from 7 PM.
My Operations Room
In the Operations Room, historical wargaming sessions feature various rule sets. Intricate miniatures and dioramas create a fun, immersive atmosphere, while strategic depth keeps players challenged and entertained.
